Sculptor Simon Gudgeon held a public opening at Pallington Lakes in Dorset which ran from 4th June for two weeks and attracted over 1,700 visitors in spite of rainy weather. We positioned four different swings overlooking particularly special views of the lakes which provided an unexpected opportunity for people to relax and enjoy the surroundings, and the sculptures contained therein. If you were one of them we’d love to hear your impressions.
The setting is one of tranquillity and the sculptures are primarily but not exclusively of aquatic birds, while the lakes are stocked with fish attracting anglers who also appreciate the peace to be found there. Our swings definitely contributed to that sense of comfort and serenity.
